Serum City was created by game studio Faraway and Mutant Cartel founders Novel Labs. You need to own a Serum City Pass in order to play the game, and your Serum City pass stores all of your game account information. <img src="undefined" alt="">
There are 3 types of Serum City Passes that can be unlocked depending on the type of NFT that you claim the Pass with:

 <li>Mutant Hounds holders: Hound Castle</li>
 <li>Mutant Cartel Oath holders: Oath HQ</li>
 <li>Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club holders: Ape Club House</li>
</ul>
Each pass type produces different transmutation artifacts in game:

 <li>Hound Castle produces Jewelry</li>
 <li>Oath HQ produces Weapons</li>
 <li>Ape Club House produces Armor</li>
</ul>
These transmutation artifacts (also referred to as Gear) can be minted and burned in game to increase players’ positions on the Collection Burn Leaderboard and Item Burn Leaderboard.

<h2 id="h-how-to-play-serum-city">How to Play Serum City?</h2>
Serum City is a game where you build your own place and become a big boss in a world of mutants. It’s made by Novel Labs and Faraway and you can play it on computers and phones from Season 3 onwards. The game started on February 1, 2024.
In the game, you land in Serum City, a hidden city built by mutants. Here, you start small by doing jobs, making deals, and earning money. Soon, you’ll get noticed by the big group in charge, the Mutant Cartel, led by someone named Blaksoot. Playing the game involves building up your area, making things, and finding out secrets to get special items and rank up on leaderboards. You get points for doing things like building, completing orders, and finding secret recipes. You start with a certain number of people living in your area, and you can grow this number by building houses and community buildings. As you play, you’ll earn experience points (XP) for doing tasks, which helps you level up and unlock new buildings. Buildings have different uses and can be sold for game money called Doubloons.
There’s a special place called the Hound Yard where you can get mutant dogs to make items for you.
