<p style="text-align: justify">The Hong Kong-based financial institution First Digital Trust has announced the extension of its FDUSD stablecoin to the Sui blockchain. This initiative is fueled by the desire to stimulate activity in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) sector by enhancing FDUSD utility. Launched in the previous year, FDUSD has rapidly gained traction, achieving a $3 billion valuation and ranking as the fourth-largest stablecoin on the market.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">First Digital Trust’s CEO, Vincent Chok, emphasized the robust regulatory framework underpinning FDUSD, which maintains a fixed value of $1 through US Treasury bonds and bank deposits. The stablecoin’s prominence in the market has been bolstered by its association with <a href="https://en.bitcoinhaber.net/binance-enhances-trading-environment-by-delisting-certain-pairs" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance</a>, especially following the closure of Paxos’s Binance USD stablecoin by New York regulatory authorities. As a result, FDUSD saw a surge in its trading volume on the exchange platform.</p>
<h2 id="embracing-the-sui-ecosystem">Embracing the Sui Ecosystem</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Chok views the Sui network as a burgeoning ecosystem that aligns well with the DeFi space. By making FDUSD the inaugural top-tier stablecoin natively available on Sui, the stablecoin is set to reinforce the network’s DeFi activities. Sui, which currently reports a collective presence of 340 million USDC and <a href="https://en.bitcoinhaber.net/stablecoin-giant-tether-bolsters-bitcoin-reserves-amid-market-uncertainty" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">USDT</a> according to DefiLlama, required bridges to facilitate token transfers from other blockchains, often incurring additional fees and risks. FDUSD’s integration aims to mitigate these challenges, promoting a more seamless development of the Sui network.</p>
