<p class="is-style-lead">John Deaton, a pro-crypto lawyer and founder of CryptoLaw US, has launched his campaign, challenging incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren.</p> 
<p>Announcing his bid as a Republican, Deaton’s campaign and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/deatonforsenate" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.facebook.com/deatonforsenate" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook page</a> went live over the weekend, where he criticized Warren for being ineffective for Massachusetts.</p>

<p>Deaton, known for his support of <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/ripple/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/tag/ripple/">Ripple</a> and involvement in significant legal battles within the crypto industry, has been vocal about his disagreements with Warren and SEC Chair <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/gary-gensler/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/tag/gary-gensler/">Gary Gensler</a>‘s approach to cryptocurrency regulation.</p> 
<p>In 2021, he sought to intervene in the SEC’s <a href="https://crypto.news/live/ripple-vs-sec/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/live/ripple-vs-sec/">lawsuit</a> against Ripple on behalf of <a href="https://crypto.news/price/xrp/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/price/xrp/">XRP</a> holders, arguing their interests were not adequately represented.</p>

His decision to enter the political arena follows previous public considerations of challenging Warren, emphasizing a desire to confront her policies directly.</p>
