<p>The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is pursuing &#34;alternative service&#34; to issue a summons to Changpeng Zhao, CEO of crypto exchange Binance, who is known for his secrecy regarding his location. The SEC recently sued Zhao and Binance over alleged unregistered securities operations. As Zhao and <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/lawyers-emphasize-ripple-case-in-coinbase-binance-actions" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance</a> do not acknowledge a specific headquarters or domicile, regular service might prove challenging. The SEC also requested a &#34;sworn accounting&#34; from Zhao and Binance, for clarity on the defendants&#39; assets and investor money. Zhao&#39;s current whereabouts are undisclosed; the last known report suggested he was splitting his time between Dubai and France.</p>
