<h3 id="strong-what-is-a-product-retrospective-strong"><strong>What Is A Product Retrospective?</strong></h3><p>Our monthly Product Retrospective is designed as a backward-looking review of the features we delivered in the previous month.</p><p>The blog post intends to inform our community about what our engineering team built and why, to shine a light on the evolution of our technology platform, and whether or not we’ve kept our development promises.</p><p>We here at Quidd have been hard at work to make improvements and fixes to the product for a smooth and delightful experience. We got your valuable feedback and incorporated all of it into the last few updates we made on Quidd. So let’s dive in.</p><h3 id="strong-what-problem-are-we-solving-strong"><strong>What Problem Are we solving?</strong></h3><p>The main reason for the redesign is to give importance to the actions user are doing at a higher frequency. Chat is a great example of it. Our users are communicating with collectors via chat at an ever-increasing volume. It is key to facilitating a bond between our collectors and how they collect or make sales on Quidd. Placing Chats in a prominent place like the navigation bar brings it front and center for our collectors to use instantly when the need arises. Maybe in later months, we can add a presence to the chat profile icon to indicate whether the user is online or not. Wouldn’t that be cool?</p><h3 id="strong-why-is-it-important-to-do-this-now-strong"><strong>Why is it important to do this now?</strong></h3><p>Familiarity is very important in a user experience. There are certain market best practices and popular layouts most of our community is used to. We have emulated that in our product so it feels intuitive and familiar. We want our users to come in and learn about the sets, brands, chases, and listings rather than how to navigate.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*L55lPdBpxTw1EhxPAdRS-w.gif" /></p><h3 id="strong-app-redesign-strong"><strong>App Redesign:</strong> </h3><p>The mobile apps got a major facelift.</p><ol><li>We added a new Profile Side Panel which contains access to My Profile, My Cash Wallet, Settings, My Wishlist, and more to a handy vertical side panel. The side panel can be launched by tapping your profile picture, now located in the main header.</li><li>My Chats is now located as the rightmost button on the bottom navigation bar. It’s now easy to start a new chat from any screen when you feel the need to talk.</li><li>The Settings Screen got an update too with an added “My Account” which contains your username and email address.</li><li>The Checklists tab was moved to the main home screen next to “Drops” and “News” and renamed “Chases” Now the most important information our collectors need is at their fingertips.</li><li>We made a new addition to the “Inbox” screen by adding a settings gear at the top right to control what messages you want to receive. (Video of Inbox screen)</li></ol><h3 id="strong-web-catch-up-strong"><strong>Web Catch-Up</strong>: </h3><p>We dedicated quite some time to building out functionality that is loved and familiar in the apps but not yet available on the website. Here is what we achieved in the last month.</p><ol><li>Storyboards is now available on the web</li><li>You can see your Wishlist on the web</li><li>You can now burn prints on the web</li></ol><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*i14x7o4UQqOM-NSaG5kTJQ.png" /></p><h3 id="strong-new-features-on-website-strong"><strong>New Features on Website:</strong> </h3><p>We did not just stop at catching up on some app features. We added a few new features to the web as well that are very impressive.</p><ol><li>We implemented a new Shinny Viewer on the web which allows you to click on the item to see what the non-shinny version looks like.</li><li>We added the option of Sandbox to our Interoperability filter under “My Collections”. Now users can see if their NFTs are interoperable on Sandbox, Opensea, and Rarible.</li><li>We changed our KYC provider to Sora ID because our old provider was shutting down. KYC is available on the web only until we release it on the apps again. There are always unforeseen issues when changing providers so please do not hesitate to create a ticket at support&#64;myquidd.com.</li></ol><p>It is of utmost importance that we stay in good legal standing within existing laws and regulatory frameworks so we can continue to process withdrawals. Withdrawals are a consistent service at Quidd we make it a top priority that it does not get delayed due to any cause within our control.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*JAfYpzK5kcYIGMKFs_BJsw.png" /></p><h3 id="strong-bug-fixes-strong"><strong>Bug Fixes</strong></h3><p>It is a never-ending cycle of fixing bugs in the product as we are building it out. If you are under the hood, you might as well fix little leaks or wear and tear on the parts. Here is what we fixed on the website in May:</p><ol><li>The ‘floating’ packs when scrolling up.</li><li>Seeing sold listings in their active listings.</li><li>A set has remaining inventory but the amount listed appears as ‘unavailable’.</li><li>Set details page — Primary market section saying ‘needs restock’ but reads as ‘open’ on the app.</li><li>Clicking on a collection page brought you to the wrong collection (ex: clicking Smurf’s Season 4 brought you to Season 1).</li><li>Notifications in the inbox had a wrong copy — User would receive “Someone just made a wish for $250.00 for your item” but it was someone listing an item you wished for.</li></ol><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*OQyrBPgM_UOf8aLqoIXKqA.png" /></p><p><strong>Watch the App Redesign Video: </strong><a href="https://youtu.be/hdf4SHaH4LM" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://youtu.be/hdf4SHaH4LM</a></p><p><strong>FAQs</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Will my old messages show under the My Chats tab?</strong></li></ol><p>Yes all of your old messages will still be under “My Chats”</p><p>2. <strong>How do I get to the settings page?</strong></p><p>Tap the new profile icon on the top left and you will see the “My settings” option.</p><p>3. <strong>Where is the checklist located?</strong></p><p>The Checklists tab was moved to the main home screen next to “Drops” and “News” and renamed “Chases”.</p>
