The brief contests a staggering proposed fine of nearly $2 billion. This filing is in response to charges that Ripple conducted unregistered securities offerings via its XRP sales.&nbsp;

Ripple’s arguments are likely also to highlight inconsistencies in regulatory approaches, as evidenced by ongoing litigation like Coinbase’s public lawsuit against the SEC, which demands clearer crypto regulations. This legal skirmish could set significant precedents for the cryptocurrency industry at large. 
If the $0.53 support level holds, market optimism could drive the price towards the $0.7 mark soon. A successful ascent past this resistance would set up <a href="https://coingape.com/markets/xrp-price-prediction-as-xrp-hits-0-5-amid-ripple-vs-sec-intense-legal-battle">XRP</a> to potentially hit the $1 threshold in the ensuing weeks.
