The goal of the updated Worldcoin features, as stated in a blog post, is to provide users with more control over their data while preserving the security of the network.
Personal Custody is at the center of the new bundle, which also includes the Unverify World ID feature. Modern techniques, such as zero-knowledge proofs (<a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/gate-io-implements-zero-knowledge-tech-in-new-proof-of-reserves-method/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ZKPs</a>), are used by this feature. By using ZKPs, users may confirm transactions without disclosing private details like the amount or parties involved.

Users’ financial information is protected from eavesdropping thanks to this technology, which allows for private and secure transactions. In the future, holders of World IDs will have the option to permanently remove their iris code. As soon as a user requests deletion, their World ID becomes invalid, which triggers a 6-month “cool off” period to prevent fraud.
There will be no way to retrieve a user’s iris code once the cool-off time ends.
