<p>These included a biographical film about Carl Menger, the founder of the Austrian school of economics and revered as the “grandfather of Bitcoin”.</p>
<p>Other films explored a dystopian future under a technocratic empire, and the common misconceptions surrounding <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/cryptocurrencies/bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin (BTC)</a> as a “dirty coin” due to its energy consumption and supposed role in illegal activities.</p>
<p>The festival was held at Warsaw’s renowned Palace of Culture and Science, a remarkable example of Stalinist-Gothic architecture.</p>
<h2 id="more-than-just-movies">More Than Just Movies</h2>
<p>The festival also highlighted the documentary “My Trust in You is Broken”, which underscores the risks of relying on trusted third parties and tells the story of decentralization.</p>
<p>The film particularly focuses on Nicolas Dorier’s contribution to the Bitcoin ecosystem and his innovative BTCPay Server, which has significantly advanced Bitcoin acceptance globally.</p>
<p>The event evolved into more than just a film festival, with satellite meetups, networking gatherings, and activities for all ages.</p>
<p>One such satellite event was “Sats4Flats”, a private gathering for Bitcoin and real estate professionals to discuss Bitcoin, real estate, and tokenization.</p>
