SafeSEP22 has activated the transferability of SAFE tokens following a successful vote by SafeDAO. The company announced this via an X post on Tuesday morning, steering SafeDAO into a new era. “SEP22 has been executed! The Safe Token Contract is officially unpaused, and SAFE is transferable,” <a href="https://x.com/safegovernance/status/1782646212375597161" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SafeDAO’s</a> X post stated.
The proposal, which enables the transferability of SAFE tokens, involved executing the unpause method of the token contract via the SafeSnap module. As such, previously locked SAFE tokens have become transferable, while those remaining in the lock contract are ineligible for transfer.
Following the token unlock, <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/safe1/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SAFE’s value</a> dipped by over 26%, hitting $2.72 at press time.
