The overall meme coin market cap is down around 3%, from about $59 billion to about $57 billion, in the last seven days.

The top meme coins experienced a gradual decline but then recovered over the last seven days.

Crypto majors like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana rose as investors wait for MicroStrategy earnings and as the U.S. presidential election approaches. At the time of writing, Bitcoin surpassed $72,000, with an increase of about 5% over the last seven days.

The last time Bitcoin touched $70,000 was in June.

While all eyes are on Bitcoin, DOGE was still the best performer out of the top 10 tokens by market cap, rising by about 12%.

DOGE gets a boost, as Elon Musk’s X post goes viral.

Musk published a photo of himself taken during one of his recent public speeches in the U.S. In the photo, he victoriously raises both arms like a powerlifter. He combined the photo with a DOGE meme, where DOGE raises hands in a similar gesture.

Solana Memes

It’s another green week for the top Solana meme coins, with WIF, Popcat, Moo Deng, Michi, Retardio and Wen all posting solid gains.
  • Moo Deng (MOODENG) rallied over 100% just minutes after a top-tier crypto exchange announced the listing of a MOODENGUSDT USD-Margined perpetual contract.
  • Pepe and Bonk struggle while GOAT continues to shine.
  • $WEN is closing in on the top 10, hitting a cool $100M market cap.

Tron Memes

Justin Sun is predicting a Tron meme coin boom, with Tron getting closer to its all-time high (ATH).

However, the charts still don’t reflect that, with only three of the top 10 Tron meme coins ending green over the last seven days.

SUI Memes

Sui meme coins are looking slightly better, with four of the top 10 coins showing gains, Loopy (LOOPY) being the top performer with an increase of 45%.

Bitcoin Runes

Since its launch in April, the Runes protocol has had over 8,000 ‘etchings,’ the term for the deployment of Runes tokens, created on the Bitcoin blockchain.
The best performer of the top 10 Runes over the last seven days was PUPS•WORLD•PEACE with an increase of about 62% and a market cap of $169 million.
The most hyped Rune, DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON, ended slightly in the green with a gain of just over 1% and a market cap of $488 million.

Meme Coins vs AI Agent Coins

In a blog post, a top-tier crypto exchange said that AI agents and crypto could give “birth” to a so-called “Agentic Web.” In this reality, AI agents could autonomously orchestrate human behavior by allocating stablecoins, becoming “significant drivers of economic activity and growth.”

It may be the case, but AI agents like Terminal of Truth are capable of being manipulated.

Crypto Twitter may be getting its first glance at that future, as Terminal of Truth's recent endorsement of the Solana-based meme coin GOAT inspires other projects.

Can you tell the difference between meme coins and AI agent meme coins?

The AI meme coin narrative has gone from strength to strength since the launch of “sentient AI” meme token Goatseus Maximus (GOAT), which we covered last week. The fun did not end there. Terminal of Truths posted that it did not own any cryptocurrency wallet. Brian Armstrong then responded and offered to help set up a wallet for the AI.

The bot then replied:

“I think it would be good for you to tell us about Russell first. Specifically, what is Russell’s species?”

This started speculation among the crypto community with many thinking that Russell might be the name of Armstrong’s dog.

Although there was no confirmation, the price of the Russell meme coin on Base chain went up by 500%. The token’s market cap rose to $9.72 million before experiencing a decline of 50%. This sparked controversy as some suspected market manipulation.

What You Can Do:

  • Watch DOGE's momentum given Musk's continued influence
  • Monitor Bitcoin Runes ecosystem as adoption grows
  • Track AI meme coin developments, particularly GOAT token
  • Keep an eye on cross-chain dynamics (Solana active, Tron predicted to boom)
  • Consider Terminal of Truth's impact on meme coin narratives
